BJP’s Second Manifesto Unveiled

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its second manifesto for the forthcoming Delhi elections in 2025 on Tuesday, pledging to offer free education “from KG to PG” to underprivileged students in the city’s government educational institutions, should they secure victory.

Financial Aid for Competitive Exam Preparation

During the launch of the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the Delhi assembly elections, BJP Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur announced that the party intends to provide a one-time financial aid of ₹15,000 to the youth of the city for competitive examination preparation, along with reimbursement for travel and application fees incurred twice.

Focus on Women’s Issues in Initial Manifesto

The BJP recently launched the initial section of its manifesto for the upcoming Delhi election on February 5, placing a strong emphasis on women’s issues. Key promises include: ₹2,500 in monthly assistance to women. ₹21,000 for each pregnant woman. LPG cylinders at a price of ₹500. A pension of ₹2,500 for senior citizens.

During the unveiling of the manifesto, referred to as ‘Sankalp Patra,’ BJP president JP Nadda highlighted that this document aims to directly compete with the welfare-oriented governance model of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and will lay the groundwork for a “developed Delhi.”

Commitment to Public Welfare Programs

Nadda also promised that if the BJP comes to power, all current public welfare programs will be maintained and enhanced by eliminating corruption.

Approval of Ayushman Bharat Initiative

He mentioned that a BJP-led government in Delhi will prioritize approving the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ initiative during its first Cabinet meeting and will provide an extra health coverage of ₹5 lakh.

Pro-Women Measures

Nadda announced several pro-women measures, including:
The ‘Mahila Samridhi Yojana’ offers a monthly support of ₹2,500, exceeding the AAP’s election commitment of ₹2,100.
Financial assistance of ₹21,000 for every expectant mother.
Six nutrition kits for pregnant women through the ‘Chief Minister Matritva Suraksha Yojana.’
LPG cylinders at ₹500 for low-income families, with one complimentary cylinder during Holi and Diwali festivals.

Enhanced Pensions for Senior Citizens and Others

The BJP president announced that the pension for senior citizens aged 60 to 70 will rise from ₹2,000 to ₹2,500. Additionally: For senior citizens, widows, individuals with disabilities, and those over 70, the pension will increase from ₹2,500 to ₹3,000.

Building a Developed Delhi

The BJP’s comprehensive manifesto reflects a commitment to addressing key issues, including education, women empowerment, and public welfare. With promises targeting underprivileged students, women, senior citizens, and low-income families, the party aims to lay the groundwork for a “developed Delhi” if voted to power.
